An evacuation warning adjacent to the UCLA campus was lifted around 1:40 p.m., according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection website.
The nearest evacuation warning area to campus is now west of Interstate 405.

In a Tuesday press conference at the opening of the Disaster Recovery Center at UCLA’s Research Park, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said the Los Angeles County wildfires are still an ongoing emergency and residents should not wait until an evacuation order is declared to evacuate.
After the Palisades fire began Tuesday, Westwood businesses united to provide first responders and people in need with free food, Wi-Fi and charging stations. Local businesses including Toranj Restaurant, Danny Boy’s Pizza, House of Mandi and Enzo’s Pizzeria opened their doors to anyone in need.
