Tens of thousands of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299 members struck across the UC system Nov. 17 and 18. With the rhythm of drums matching the rain, hundreds of UC employees striking at UCLA impacted medical facilities and custodial services and left many UCLA dining halls temporarily closed.

UCLA’s New Student Advisors, also known as NSAs, introduce newly accepted students to the UCLA experience during their orientation. Once hired, the NSAs undergo a training process that spans over 100 hours during the spring quarter and beginning of summer.

UCLA Residential Life receives more than 1,000 yearly applicants for a position as a resident assistant, with few being chosen through the selection process. RAs are given the responsibility of providing students with a proper residential experience through community engagement and support.
