Tens of thousands of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299 members struck across the UC system Nov. 17 and 18. With the rhythm of drums matching the rain, hundreds of UC employees striking at UCLA impacted medical facilities and custodial services and left many UCLA dining halls temporarily closed.

The Hammer Museum hosted Arts Party: Transcend, an event featuring performances, art-making workshops, exhibitions, food and more. The annual event allowed college students to roam the museum, enjoy sets from DJ Starrza and watch a performance from Orion Sun.
