We The Folk, an up-beat group of UCLA students plus one alumni, performs “She Belongs” – a fun, catchy tune that touches on an aspect of life that many young people can relate to: staying up all night, talking about life with someone that you care about.

Instead of going out to celebrate, third-year film student Matthew Camello decided to spend his 21st birthday at Relay for Life in honor of his uncle who passed away from cancer.

Dressed In full wizard garb and TARDIS corsets, guests at the Doctor Who Craft Fair at Whimsic Alley find handmade items from their favorite fandoms, like “Harry Potter,” “Game of Thrones,” “Doctor Who” and even “Downton Abbey.” You can never be too excited here, as employees Jamie Chandler and Kiana Beuler share their stories about finding a place at Whimsic Alley where they can truly be themselves every day with a circle of friends and guests who love the same things they love.

Hanging from a fence in the abandoned lot across from In-N-Out Burger, an intricate collage of black-and-white ink drawings forms a bird with a cardboard cutout reading a single word: love.
