The Fowler museum’s newest exhibit, “Sinful Saints and Saintly Sinners at the Margins of the Americas,” opened to the public last week. The exhibit blurs the line between sanctity and sin by featuring a number of folk heroes and unconventional saints from across North and South America.
UCLA ecology, behavior and evolution student Ying Zhi bakes miniature food-themed jewelry, explaining that “art is like my escape from school.” Zhi started her homemade jewelry business in her home in Singapore, and brought her craft with her when she moved to Los Angeles for school.
