Students filled Meyerhoff Park as they waited for and celebrated the announcement of the undergraduate student government election.

On the way home from class every day for almost two years I
walked by the same dilapidated, old house. The sun beat on its
shuttered windows, and it just stood there stoically, slowly
crumbling away.

As the school year draws to a close, I am able to reflect on the
many subjects I have tackled, noting some of the successes and
failures I have had at this post.

It is easy to make jokes about sorority members doing things
such as the Walk of Shame on their way back from late night
dalliances on fraternity row.

There is something about being on campus at night. The trees
quiver under a jet-black sky, and the buildings stand stoically
““ resting up for the next day’s onslaught of eager
students, pounding the pavement in search of knowledge.

Think of all the “stupid” questions students never
ask in class.
Now, imagine a tool that allows students to anonymously interact
with their professors during class, so that there is no fear of a
stupid question.

Knowing very little about the Undergraduate Students Association
Council, I decided that in order to learn quickly I should attend
the ritualistic USAC election results gathering held in front of
Kerckhoff Hall, which was last Thursday night.

I never took a campus tour before deciding to attend UCLA. I
just knew that this was the school for me. But because I am
graduating in a month or so, last week I decided it would be a good
idea to take one.

As the first day of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books drew
to a close Saturday afternoon, not one UCLA student had signed up
for the Wine of the Month Club.

Students take part in the College Honors Program at UCLA for a
variety of reasons. Some students participate in it because it
gives them priority enrollment.
