The Undergraduate Students Association Council discussed publishing a statement voicing solidarity with Palestinian students.
Public Comment:
Lauren Thielen-Esparza, a third-year political science student, said she supported USAC’s making a statement in support of Palestinians.
The Undergraduate Students Association Council approved resolutions to abolish UCPD and to stand in support of Burmese students during the Myanmar military coup. The council also approved constitutional and bylaw changes to include a new commission-related project and correct language about appointments to the Academic Senate.
The Undergraduate Students Association Council passed a resolution in support of the creation of a Basic Needs Student Advisory Board. The council discussed the alleged misuse of $30,000 of student funds for the renovation of the Center for Accessible Education and the voter turnout in the USAC elections.
The Undergraduate Students Association Council approved a resolution commemorating Lily Shaw and her advocacy for students with disabilities in USAC and the UCLA community. USAC approved changes to the Congressional Advisory Board bylaws and the Seat at the Table Initiative bylaws.

Ayona Hudson, a third-year African American studies and political science transfer student, said UCLA is not prioritizing transfer students for housing for the 2021-2022 school year.
